Vivaldi 7.0 browser is now available, presented with updates and improvements. The browser is based on the Chromium engine and is compatible with Linux, Windows, and macOS. The project is released under an open license with changes made to the Chromium code base. The browser interface is written in JavaScript and utilizes various technologies like React library, Node.js, and Browserify, along with NPM modules.
Developed by former Opera Presto developers, Vivaldi aims to provide a customizable and functional browser with a focus on user data privacy. Key features of Vivaldi include ad and tracker blockers, note and history managers, private browsing mode, end-to-end encrypted synchronization, tab grouping, side panel, extensive configuration options, horizontal tab view, and experimental built-in email client, RSS reader, and calendar.
The latest Vivaldi version includes about 120 improvements, such as:
