FIN7 Exposed: Dark Secrets of Global Hacker Syndicate

Recently, cybersecurity researchers have uncovered a new digital infrastructure linked to a financially motivated cybercriminal group known as FIN7. This group, active from 2013 to 2018, targeted over 100 companies and organizations in the United States, breaching thousands of systems in the process. The hackers managed to steal more than 15,000,000 payment cards in the USA alone, compromising over 6,500 point-of-sale (POS) terminals. The stolen data was then sold on the darknet to third parties.

The FBI has identified several well-known companies that fell victim to FIN7’s cyberattacks, including Chipotle Mexican Grill, Chili’s, Arby’s, Red Robin, and Jason’s Deli. These businesses suffered significant losses due to the hackers’ activities.
