The Indian company OLA introduced a series of its own chips for artificial intelligence, aimed at different scenarios of use. The head of the company, Bhavish Aggarval, emphasized the importance for India to develop its own AI sector, instead of dependence on third -party solutions.
One of the key announcements was the presentation of the chip bodhi-1 , which is designed to work with large language models (LLM) and optimized for the tasks of the infront. This chip, according to the company, will be presented on the market in 2026 and is highly energy efficiency. In addition to this, the BodHi-2 was announced, which should appear in 2028 and will offer higher performance, providing scalability for calculations at the level of exaflops.
In addition, Ola showed the OJAS chip, which is positioned as the first in India “Edge AI” chip and will be integrated into the next generation of electric vehicles of the company. Although the details about OJAS are still limited, it is known that it will support a wide range of ecosystems due to its architecture oriented on AI.
Another novelty has become SARV -1 – a cloud chip designed for cloud computing. He promises high performance and effectiveness, but the details about its architecture have not yet been disclosed.
For the production of its chips, OLA plans to cooperate with leading world factories, such as TSMC or Samsung. These developments put a company in the forefront of India technological progress and open up new prospects in the global market.
