COSI-Drive Code Released for SeaWeedfs

The ænix team, together with the community has released a new Cosi-driver for the distributed file system SeaweedFS. This driver provides support for integrating SeaweedFS with Kubernetes. The driver introduces new entities, including Bucketclaim, Bucket, and Bucketaccess, which are crucial for the defined context storage of objects (S3 BUCKET) and access control to them based on the principle of PVC (Persistent Volume Claim). The driver’s code is written in GO, published under the Apache 2.0 license, and made available to the community.

The team has also transferred the driver to the community to facilitate collaboration on further enhancements. Work is currently underway to add support for S3 bucket to the PaaS platform Cozystack. This integration will enable users to automatically order buckets directly from Kubernetes, enhancing the platform’s functionality and usability.
