Super Grub2 Disk 2.06S4 Released to Fix OS Loading Issues

Specialized Loading Image Released by Super Grub2 Disk

Five years after the publication of the last issue, Super Grub2 Disk has presented the release of a specialized loading image, Super Grub2 Disk 2.06S4. This loading image is designed to help users organize booting any systems in situations where they encounter damage to the bootloader, inability to load the system, or with the rewriting of the main bootloader in systems with multiple OS. The loading image offers a console interface based on a menu for controlling and searching for available systems. It supports sections with LVM and RAID, encrypted sections (LUKS1, LUKS2, and Geli), loading with EFI, IEEE1275, and Coreboot.

The restoration modes provided by the loading image cover various distributions of Linux, FreeBSD, Freedos, MacOS, GNU/Hurd, Reactos, and multiple versions of Windows (starting from Windows 98). The size of the loading image for recording on a USB Flash drive is 97 Mb.

The new version of Super Grub2 Disk has been released with support for GNU GRUB 2.06 bootloader. It includes added support for encryption format LUKS2, BTRFS file system, Linux loading from section /Boot, and work with disk sections using marks. Additionally, it supports loading Reactos and assembly operating systems based on the GNU/Hurd nucleus from Debian and Arch. Users also have the opportunity to download Debian and Ubuntu in UEFI Secure Boot.
