AMD presented a new version of its innovative personnel generation technology – AMD Fluid Motion Frames 2 (AFMF 2), designed to significantly increase the frequency of personnel and the smoothness of the gameplay on gamers with “red graphics”.
AFMF 2 is integrated into AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition ™ and is part of the AMD Hypr -RX2 – solutions to increase performance, which provides excellent game experience on the AMD Radeon ™ video cards. AFMF is supported on the AMD Radeon ™ RX 6000 and 7000 series, as well as on some AMD Ryzen ™ processors with built-in graphics Radeon ™.
Users praised the first version of AFMF, assigning it to the average rating 9.3 from 10 for the quality of the image and smooth work. In the new version of the technology, optimization and customizable parameters were added to improve personnel generation, including optimization on the basis of AI to improve quality, reduce delays, and improve performance.
AFMF 2 also added support to AMD Radeon ™ Chill, full-screen and frameless display modes, as well as support for games using the API Vulkan® and Opengl®. These improvements make AFMF 2 significantly superior version.
One of the key innovations is the Search Mode, which controls the smoothness of the frame generation, improving the operation of the rollback system in high-and-home scenes. Optimization on the basis of AI allows you to improve the frame generation algorithm, automatically choosing high settings for resolutions of 1440p and above.
The “Performance Mode” was also introduced, which reduces the load on the system, making a high frequency of frames available on a wider range of devices, especially when using integrated graphics.
AFMF 2 also made significant improvements in reducing delays, which makes the gameplay smoother. For example, in the game Cyberpunk 2077®, the combination of AFMF 2 and AMD Radeon ™ Anti-Lag technology provides a 28% lower delay in 4K resolution and setting the Ray Tracing: Ultra graphics compared to AFMF 1.
In addition, AFMF 2 supports interaction with AMD Radeon ™ Chill technology, which allows you to establish an FPS restriction controlled by the driver. This prevents exceeding the maximum frequency of the monitor renewal, which can cause image ruptures and deterioration of its quality.
AFMF 2 is already available for loading in the form of
