Postgres Professional has recently unveiled an updated DBA-1 basic course designed for individuals looking to administer the open-source database management system PostgreSQL. The course material can be accessed for self-study on the company’s website or at authorized training centers.
The key modifications to the course include information on the latest versions of PostgreSQL – 14, 15, and 16. Additionally, four topics within the “Access Management” section have been replaced, paving the way for a more detailed separate course to be introduced in the future. The course structure has also undergone partial changes, leading to a more logical and consistent presentation.
Furthermore, the updated course now covers physical and logical replicas in separate topics. Postgres Professional has also addressed previous shortcomings in the course material, including errors in scripts for demonstrations and practical tasks.
