Chrome 127 Web Browser Issue

Google published the release of Web-browser Chrome 127. At the same time the stable release of the free project Chromium acting as the basis of Chrome is available. Chrome browser differs from Chromium by the presence of a system sending a notification in case of collapse, modules for playing video content (DRM), an automatic installation system of updates, constant inclusion of Sandbox insulation, supplying the key to Google API, and transmission when searching for RLZ parameters. For those who need more time to update, the Extended Stable branch is separately supported, accompanied by 8 weeks. The next issue of Chrome 128 is scheduled for August 20.

Main changes in Chrome 127:

  • In the default incognito mode, the “HTTPS-FIRST” function is enabled, which automatically redirects HTTP checks to HTTPS. To ensure working with sites that do not support HTTPS, a rollback on HTTP is implemented if, after a proceed, it is not possible to execute a request for HTTPS or there are problems with certificates. When you try to open the site by HTTP, a special warning is displayed.
  • In the built-in root certificate store (Chrome Root Store), it is decided to stop trusting the Entrust certificate due to multiple violations tenders to certifying centers, non-compliance with response time to problem certificates, delaying certificates, improper execution of incidents, and non-compliance with the rules for issuing TLS -EV levels (
