Tails 6.5 Released

The release of a specialized distribution Tails 6.5 (The Amnesic Incognito Live System) has been announced, based on the Debian 12 package base and equipped with the GNOME 43 desktop, designed for anonymous internet access. The anonymous internet access on Tails is provided by the Tor system, with all connections except for traffic via the Tor network being blocked by default. User data storage in persistence mode is encrypted to ensure security. The ISO-image for download, capable of running in live-mode, is 1 GB in size. You can download it here.

In the new version, the installation time has been significantly reduced with the use of Tails utility Cloner, removing 30 seconds from the process for section breaks. The package base is synchronized with Debian 12.6 and the Tor Browser has been updated to version 13.5.1, with previous deliveries in the 13.0 branch and changes in the 13.5 branch. Issues related to connecting to networks via mobile operators, broadband communication, LTE, and PPPOE DSL have been resolved. You can find more details on these changes here.
