Elon Musk, the visionary behind Tesla and SpaceX, has revealed his consideration of creating an Iron Man-style costume following two recent attempts on his life. The entrepreneur shared his thoughts on the X platform, expressing the need for increased security measures after fans voiced concerns about his safety in light of the recent assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump.
Some users suggested Musk should enhance his security measures following the incident at a Trump election rally in Batler, Pennsylvania, with one commenter warning, “If they can come for Trump, they will come for you.”
Musk described the current times as “dangerous” and mentioned that two individuals had attempted to take his life over the past eight months. They were apprehended with weapons near the Tesla headquarters in Texas, but Musk did not disclose further details about the incidents.
These comments come after Musk openly supported Trump during his presidential campaign, relying on the Secret Service for protection against potential threats. The attempted assassination occurred on July 13, when a bullet grazed Trump’s ear during a speech, resulting in casualties among his supporters. The shooter was identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Kruks.
Fans often draw parallels between Musk and Tony Stark, the fictional character behind Iron Man. Mark Fergus, the co-writer of the Iron Man movies, acknowledged Musk as an inspiration for the character. Musk even made a cameo appearance in “Iron Man 2” in 2010. In 2021, he met with engineer Dilan Langa Edmiston, who had built a prototype Iron Man suit, further fueling speculation about Musk’s potential creation of such a futuristic costume.
