The Wine project has published the experimental release of its open implementation of the Win32 API, Wine 9.13. Following the release of version 9.12, this new update includes the closure of 22 error reports and the implementation of 336 changes.
Some of the key changes introduced in Wine 9.13 include: support for loading Windows ODBC drivers to the DBMS, continued work on organizing user32 library structures, and ongoing improvements to the engine used in the command interpreter CMD.exe. Additionally, several error reports related to applications like Photoshop CC 2024 and games such as Assassin’s Creed: Revelations have been resolved in this release.
Furthermore, the project has also released Wine Staging 9.13, which offers advanced Wine assemblies with 430 additional patches compared to the main branch. This version includes synchronization with the Wine 9.13 code base and updates from VKD3D. Notably, the patch set includes updates like gdi32-Rotation and ODBC32-FIXES to address issues with recording in the DBC and support for ODBC 2.0.
