WireShark network analyzer has been updated to version 4.2.6. This new version includes important corrections that enhance the stability and safety of the program.
Users are encouraged to update to the latest version, especially those using versions 4.2.0 or 4.2.1 on Windows, as installing Wireshark 4.2.6 or later will require manual download and installation.
Key corrections in this update include fixing a regression in the behavior of the TCP Stream Graph “Time Sequence (TcpTrace)” window, which was identified as problem 19846. Additionally, a vulnerability in the SPRT dissecter known as WNPA-SEC-2024-10 and problem 19559 has been fixed.

Version 4.2.6 does not introduce new functions or protocols, but it does update support for DHCP, E.212, MySQL, NAS-5GS, PKT CCC, Protobuf, Radius, RLC-Lite, RTP, SIP, SPRT, and Thrift.
