The ænix team has unveiled a new project called etcd “On several nodes using the distributed ETCD storage. This project builds on the concept of k8S-AwAIT-ELECTION, ensuring the exclusive launch of a user process only after the leading node has been elected. Unlike its predecessor, this project does not require Kubernetes and instead operates directly with ETCD. The code for this project is written in Go language and is licensed under Apache 2.0.
The project supports SSL, offers rapid recovery upon restart, prioritizes blocking interception, and monitors process execution. If the lock is lost for any reason, the user process will be stopped immediately.
In addition, an update has been released for the paAS platform cozystack 0.9.0. This platform allows for the launch and provisioning of Kubernetes clusters, databases, and virtual machines. It can be installed directly on servers and handles all infrastructure setup aspects to offer managed services. The latest release enables changes to NOD group parameters and includes updated versions of various components (Kubernetes 1.30.1, Kubevirt 1.2.2, Kamaji 1.0.0, Piraeus 2.5.1).
