An experimental release of the open implementation of the Win32 API, known as Wine 9.12, has recently been launched. Following the release of version 9.11, 24 error reports were resolved, and a total of 310 changes were implemented.
Some of the key changes introduced in this version include:
- The updating of the Wine Mono engine with the integration of the .NET platform to version 9.2.0.
- The addition of initial support for organizing user32 library structures within the library data.
- The utilization of the engine in the command interpreter CMD.exe.
- The establishment of asynchronous input/output state processing when operating in Wow64 (64-bit windows-on-windows), enabling 32-bit Windows applications to function on 64-bit UNIX systems.
- The resolution of errors related to various applications, including FL Studio 21, Cueripper 2.1.x, Eset SysinSpector 1.4.2.0, CMD.exe, and WPCAP.
- The resolution of errors linked to the performance of games such as Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, Assassin’s Creed III, Suddenstrike 3, and Death to Spies.
