Freerdp 3.6, offering the free implementation of the remote access protocol for the desktop RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol). Developed based on specifications from Microsoft. The project provides a library for integrating RDP support into third-party applications and a client that can be used for remote Windows desktop connection. Project code spreads under the Apache 2.0 license.
In the new version:
- The decoder’s speed is significantly increased when using various GFX codes.
- Added experimental support for the expansion of the RDP protocol “ms-Rdpecam” (Remote Desktop Protocol: Video Capture Virtual Channel Extension), designed to transmit data from a video from the RDP client to the RDP server.
- The experimental implementation of the client transferred to the SDL3 library is proposed.
- Improved copying.
- Added support p11-kit and json–C.
