Skudonet 7.1 Released for Traffic Balancer Creation

The project Skudonet has recently announced the release of Skudonet 7.1, a specialized distribution based on Debian GNU/Linux. This distribution is optimized for deploying traffic balancer and reverse proxies, as well as for creating infrastructure for organizing application delivery. The system supports the creation of balancers for HTTP/HTTPS, distribution of traffic by nodes, and management and monitoring through a web interface. The size of the ISO image for installation is 844 MB, and a repository of packages is provided for creating a Skudonet environment based on existing Debian systems.

Skudonet 7.1 is built on Debian 12 and uses the Linux 6.1.90 core. Compared to previous versions, this release includes expanded support for equipment and new capabilities related to network stack, virtualization, memory management, security, and energy consumption management. The system now supports determining IP addresses in the balancer via DHCP and allows setting up backs in the balance sheet using domain names instead of IP addresses.
