SYSLINUXOS 12.4 RELEASED

A new release of the distribution syslinuxos 12.4 has been announced, with the distribution built on the DEBIAN 12 package base. This release is focused on providing a loading LIVE CROVENT, optimized for system integrators and administrators. Users can download the prepared assemblies with the desktop GNOME (4.8 GB) and Mate (5 GB) from here.

The environment operates in a Live mode, but also allows installation on the disk using the Calamares installer. In this new release, the Linux kernel has been updated to version 6.7, and the package base is synchronized with Debian 12.4. Menu organization has been improved in both Gnome and Mate environments.

This distribution comes with a selection of pre-installed applications for monitoring and diagnosing the network, tunneling traffic, launching VPNs, organizing remote access, detecting intrusions, security checks, and simulating networks and traffic analysis. These tools can be used immediately after booting the distribution from the USB-bootor. Some of the applications included are Wireshark, Etherape, NMAP, Putty, GNS3, Virtualbox, Zabbix, Nagios4, Fail2ban, and various web browsers like Firefox, Chrome, Chromium, Microsoft Edge, and Tor Browser.
