WHO WILL GET TOP AI FEATURE IN APPLE’S iOS 18?

Apple is set to unveil iOS 18 and other versions of its operating system soon, with a focus on advanced artificial intelligence features.

The implementation of these AI capabilities is expected to involve a combination of on-device and cloud data processing. However, users may need newer devices to access these features. According to reports, many AI tools will only be available on the latest models like the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max featuring the A17 Pro chip.

It is worth noting that even the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, launched last year, are powered by the older A16 processor.

The minimum requirement of the A17 chip is attributed to Apple’s marketing strategy to boost the appeal of more expensive models and technical necessities. The A17 chip boasts a more powerful CPU and GPU cores, along with a new 16-core neural engine capable of 35 trillion operations per second. The built-in RAM on the chip has also been upgraded from 6 GB to 8 GB.

By the time iOS 18 is released to the public, expectedly in September, the iPhone 15 Pro series will have been in the market for a year. At that point, Apple is likely to introduce the 2024 iPhone 16 lineup, which will undoubtedly support all iOS 18 features and potentially offer additional exclusive AI capabilities.

The system requirements for the models cater to state organizations and corporate entities, emphasizing adherence to security policies and safeguarding confidential information.
