Positive Technologies is working on developing technologies that aim to combat cyber attacks without the need for specialists, announced General Director Denis Baranov at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
Baranov highlighted the significance of autopilot technology as the main breakthrough in cybersecurity today. Drawing an analogy from the automotive industry, he explained that just as everyone transitioned from a mechanical gearbox to automation, the goal in cybersecurity is to create conditions where attacks can be repelled without human intervention.
The ultimate objective for Positive Technologies is to create a fully automated system that can protect against cyber threats in the modern digital landscape without requiring human oversight.
Furthermore, Baranov stressed that their aim is to decrease the dependency on human intervention within the industry over the next 3-5 years. This shift, he believes, will free up a significant amount of intellectual resources, allowing talented engineers and experts to focus on other projects like missile development or artificial intelligence systems.
These advancements come at a time when cyber attacks are on the rise globally. CyberSecurity Ventures predicts that cybercrime damages will soar to $10.5 trillion by 2025, underscoring the critical need for automated information protection. Positive Technologies is optimistic that their cutting-edge solutions will play a key role in mitigating these damages, creating a more secure digital environment.
