AI PROJECT BRINGS CATS’ LIVES TO YOUR HOME

AI Raspberry Pi Cat Detection, developed by Yoko Lee, uses artificial intelligence to inform users about the presence of cats in the house. The program not only determines the location of animals using Raspberry Pi and cameras, but also describes their actions in the style of documentary films about nature. All software solutions are made in Python and are available on github under the open license Mit.

The project converts standard animal monitoring scenarios, offering real-time tracking of cat behavior, especially if they are engaged in something forbidden, for example, entering the kitchen during cooking. In case of rule violation, the system conducts a detailed analysis of the cat’s actions in the style of Nikolai Drozdov.

The voicing of cat actions is filled with picturesque descriptions:

  • In the domestic jungle of the kitchen rack, we observe a magnificent striped cat that carefully studies a human waterfall. Full of cat curiosity, he carefully pours water on the secrets contained in a brilliant metal basin;
  • We observe a domesticated short-haired striped cat, balancing on a small wooden stool, his gaze is close and thoughtful, this cat personifies at the same time beauty and peaceful nature of our species;
  • We noticed a striped cat in the moment of rest that lies elegantly on the carpet;
  • We observe a striped cat, serenely arranged within the soft limits of a large chair;
  • The cat skillfully maneuvers on the elevated plains of the kitchen shelf, its slender body is concentrated and balanced as an experienced climber, looking for a hill, undoubtedly in search of a better view or, possibly, for a mischievous escape among home utensils.
