SpaceX Commercial Space Flights Officially Open for Private Individuals
SpaceX, headed by Elon Musk, has announced the launch of commercial space flights for private individuals on board Dragon and Starship.
From the end of 2024, space enthusiasts will have the opportunity to embark on short tourist flights lasting 3-6 days in a near-Earth orbit at a height of 300-500 km. These flights will be able to accommodate 2 to 4 passengers.
Starting in 2025, longer 10-day expeditions to the International Space Station at an altitude of approximately 400 km will be available. Four space tourists can participate in this mission.
Furthermore, SpaceX has revealed plans to organize tourist missions to orbit the moon for 7 days. The spacecraft will have an entertainment and research area in the nasal part measuring 1000 m3, capable of accommodating up to 12 passengers.
For the most daring travelers, SpaceX is offering flights to Mars. The duration of these future Mars tours has not been disclosed, nor has the timeline for when they will become available.
