Transport Companies Face Simulators Issue: Openttd 14.0 and Openloco 24.04

Openttd 14.0 Release is now available, offering players a free strategic game that simulates the operations of a transport company in real-time. This release is dedicated to celebrating the 20th anniversary of the project. The OpentTD code, written in C++, is distributed under the GPLV2 license. Installation packages have been prepared for Linux, Windows, and MacOS.

Initially developed as an analogue of the commercial game Transport Tycoon Deluxe, Openttd has evolved into a self-sufficient project that surpasses the standard version of the game. The project offers an alternative set of gaming data, new sound and graphic design, expanded game engine capabilities, larger maps, implementation of a network mode, and addition of new game elements and models.

In the latest release, several new features have been introduced. Players now have the opportunity to slow down the calendar time, affecting the appearance of new vehicles, inflation, and obsolescence of transport. Additionally, improvements have been made in ship pathfinding, vehicle distribution to prevent accumulation on routes, integration with social networks and platforms, and the addition of player polls for feedback.

With enhancements such as improved time management, ship pathfinding capabilities, vehicle distribution, social integration, and player engagement through polls, Openttd 14.0 continues to provide an immersive and engaging experience for players.
