GNOME Project Enhances Installer Interface and File Opening Dialogue

Gnome developers summed up the results of the work carried out in the project over the past week. The mayor of the file manager Nautilus (Gnome Files) published plans for creating implementation of the file selection interface (nautilus.org.freedesktop.impl.portal.filechooser), which can be used in applications instead of opening files provided by GTK (GTKFileChooserDialog). The new interface aims to provide behavior and visual design closer to GNOME, incorporating elements and advanced capabilities of the GNOME platform such as Libadwaita and the note of selected files.

Sam Hewitt, an interface designer from the Gnome project, published an interface mod installer for operating systems.

Work was carried out to ensure printing for Webkitgtk and Epiphany/Gnome Web using the Freedesktop portal PRINT, which will facilitate printing when installing from a Flatpak package.
