SBERTEH LAUNCHES GITVERSE PLATFORM & GIGACODE AI

SberTech, a subsidiary of Sberi, has recently unveiled the new Gitverse joint development platform to the public. Unlike existing systems, Gitverse offers a straightforward and user-friendly interface that is not a clone of any other platform. Currently, the platform’s functionality is limited to basic features like merging requests, reviewing proposed changes, forks, subscriptions to changes, viewing commit history, and the ability to transfer projects from GitHub, Gitlab, Gitea, and any other GIT repository.

Gitverse includes collaboration tools that allow users to add co-authors, assign reviewers, distribute roles, and discuss proposed changes. Users can create both private and public repositories for open-source and proprietary projects. The platform also integrates with the Cloud.ru cloud service for testing and deploying applications. However, features like issue discussions, tags/releases, statistics, continuous integration tools, and repository search are not yet available.

Additionally, Gitverse offers an intellectual assistant called Gigacode for testing purposes. Gigacode, similar to GitHub Copilot, provides tips and generates suggestions for completing various designs in 15 programming languages such as JavaScript, GO, C, C++, Python, Java, Kotlin, Scala, and more. Gigacode functions as a plugin for integrated development environments like VS Code, Intellij Idea, Android Studio, Pycharm, Jupyter, and Clion.
