The United States made history by returning to the lunar surface after more than 50 years with the successful landing of the private spacecraft Odysseus in the South Pole region of the Moon. The spacecraft landed near the Malapert A crater after a tense 73-minute descent from orbit, marking a significant achievement.
NASA, the United States’ space agency, is involved in various projects related to scientific discovery, aeronautics, astronautics, planetary research, space technologies, and education. Some of the most notable NASA missions include Apollo, which landed the first humans on the moon, Voyager, which explored the outer planets of the solar system, Hubble, which provided groundbreaking images of distant galaxies, and the International Space Station (ISS), an international orbital laboratory.
In addition to its own missions, NASA collaborates with other space agencies worldwide, such as the European Space Agency (ESA), Roscosmos, the Chinese National Space Administration (CNSA), and others. NASA’s overarching goal is to enhance humanity’s understanding of the Universe and leverage this knowledge for the betterment of mankind.
