Gentoo Starts Formation of Binary Packets for X86-64-V3

The developers of the Gentoo project have announced the commissioning of a separate repository for binary packages collected with support for the third version microarchitecture X86-64 (x86-64-V3) used by Intel processors from about 2015 onwards. This includes processors starting with Intel Haswell and those with expansion features such as AVX, AVX2, BMI2, FMA, LZCNT, MOVBE, and SXSave.

The newly established repository offers a distinct set of packages, which are developed in parallel with the repository published in December. The repository published in December focuses on the assembly for the basic architecture of X86-64, making it compatible with any 64-bit processors from Intel and AMD.
