Startup Magiclab, engaged in the development of humanoid robots, recently unveiled their latest creation, Magicbot. Magicbot is distinguished by an impressive spectrum of skills, ranging from frying marshmallows to performing magic tricks and dances. The development emphasizes its high motor skills and accuracy, which puts it on par with advanced robotics systems.
At the beginning of the year, Magiclab revealed the design of Magicbot, focusing on its abilities that make it a serious competitor for well-known robots like Atlas from Boston Dynamics. Magicbot has advanced technologies providing outstanding balance and dexterity, including the performance of acrobatic elements such as the Salto.
Controlled remotely, Magicbot demonstrates exceptional dexterity and accuracy. In the video, Magicbot can be seen stringing marshmallows on a shampoo bottle, carefully folding children’s clothing, dancing to peppy music, and taking care of plants. The actions of the robot not only imitate humans but reflect an advanced level of interaction with the outside world.
The basis of such abilities are miniature servo-stitches with a high torque and multidimensional pressure sensors. Thanks to this, the robot’s hand imitates up to 70% of all gestures of the human hand. This technology reveals broad prospects for the use of the robot in various fields, from industry to household services.
To overcome the typical problems of two-legged humanoids such as power and balance, Magiclab has developed specialized motorized joints and actuators. These developments provide the robot with the ability to perform acrobatic tricks with a high degree of accuracy and maneuverability. In addition, improving dynamic stability is achieved due to strategic weight redistribution.
Magiclab has also focused on creating an effective electric system, which leads to a decrease in energy consumption and a decrease in environmental risks. Thus, Magicbot becomes not only a technologically advanced but also an economically profitable and environmentally friendly solution in the field of humanoid robotics.
The Magicbot model is considered a multifunctional solution adapted to various conditions and tasks. Its flexibility and versatility make it an ideal candidate for use in rescue missions, as well as in the areas of entertainment, production, and logistics. Magiclab is confident that their robot is capable of revolutionizing many industries by increasing efficiency and reducing the workload on humans due to its wide range of
