Google Chrome web browser for Mac and Windows introduces a number of new functions based on artificial intelligence. Among them are image generation directly in the browser’s search line, a smart organization of tabs, and flexible settings of design topics. Additionally, it includes an assistant for writing text on the internet, such as on forums, online reviews, and other public spaces.
The latter is very similar to a function already available in the experimental application of Google Sge (Search Generative Experience) to search using artificial intelligence, which allows users to receive help in composing emails of different lengths and in different tones, such as more formal or more casual.
Using a new function of creating images using artificial intelligence, the user can enter a request indicating the type of image they want, such as a drawing, a photograph, or a picturesque canvas. Sge will return four results, after which the user can decide to preserve or finalize the image. This function is based on text converting to the Image-n image from Google.
The HelpMeWrite tool, built into Chrome, offers assistance in writing business reviews, invitations to parties, or official requests, such as renting housing for relaxation. In the next Chrome update, access to this function will be available by right-clicking on the text field and selecting the corresponding option. Users simply need to start writing a few words, after which Google will assist in the compilation of the text.
With the new organizer of Chrome tabs, a pop-up “Help Me Write” will automatically offer the user the creation of groups based on already open tabs, as well as offer names and emojis for the convenience of their search. This function will be useful for online shopping, research, travel planning, and other tasks.
Another innovation is the generation of user topics for a browser using a text converting model into an image, similar to the one presented in Android 14 and Pixel devices. Users will be able to create topics by choosing a subject, mood, visual style, and color through the option “Create with AI” in the Chrome settings panel.
Although some functions will only appear in Chrome next month, others, such as the organizer of the tabs and the creator of the AI topic, will be introduced over the next few days with the release of Chrome version 121. An additional item “Experimental AI” will be introduced in the browser settings, where users can enable the new features. Whether the generative functions will
