The first issue of the project Godos has been published, which aims to develop a prototype of a graphic interface using the game engine Godot. The project, known as Godotos, is an experiment in utilizing a game engine to design a minimalist, user-friendly, and visually appealing desktop interface. The project’s code is written in the GDSCRIPT language and is distributed under the AGPLV3 license. It is available for both Linux and Windows systems. Additionally, a demonstration version has been prepared, which can be accessed through the web and used directly in a browser.
Godotos supports various functionalities such as file management, text document editing, image viewing, and even running simple games. One of its potential applications includes creating an interface for launching games and built-in applications.
