Techmagic’s I-ROBO Revolutionizes the Restaurant Industry
Tokyo-based company Techmagic has recently developed and introduced a groundbreaking technology product – the commercial robot for cooking, I-ROBO. This innovative device has already made its mark in the East Asian restaurant scene, including popular Chinese restaurant chains in Japan, and even won the Robotics category at CES 2024.
I-ROBO has caused a stir in the restaurant business as its main objective is to reduce labor costs and increase profitability. According to Techmagic, the testing phase of I-ROBO in various Japanese organizations has already resulted in a significant nine-point improvement in these areas.
One of the key features of I-ROBO is its ability to automate the cooking process, including mixing, adding seasonings, and even self-cleaning. This functionality is enhanced by a cloud library of recipes, allowing even novice cooks or employees from related industries to prepare exquisite dishes.
“Our intellectual algorithms offer unique, customizable recipes that cater to the needs of modern culinary enthusiasts and enhance the gastronomic experience,” stated Techmagic.
I-ROBO aims to establish a reliable food infrastructure. Equipped with a user-friendly touch panel, the device simplifies interface navigation. As a result, users can easily access and recreate recipes developed by professional chefs from around the world.
Techmagic emphasizes that the robot can flexibly adjust temperature, heating time, speed, and pan rotation according to the selected recipe.
“All the user needs to do is choose a recipe on the touch panel, and I-ROBO will take care of the preparation process,” the company explained.
Eudi Shiraki, the founder of Techmagic, highlighted the versatility of their robots in performing various culinary tasks such as cooking, simmering, and frying. “In Japan, they are already operational and have successfully prepared over 100,000 dishes in the past six months,” added Shiraki.
The company’s founder also revealed that Techmagic offers advanced technologies with the unique attention to detail characteristic of Japanese craftsmanship. They have future plans to introduce I-
