This is a usually banal stage in the validation of public accounts, but it took another turn in the absence of an absolute majority in the National Assembly. The deputies rejected, Wednesday, August 3, the bill for the regulation of the budget 2021 by 173 votes against 167 Wednesday, thanks to a coalition of oppositions.
The government counted on a last downstream of the deputies during this final reading, after the rejection of the text in the Senate, where the right pinned the “very degraded public accounts” situation, with a deficit at 6.4 % of the GDP in 2021.
