The Prime Minister, Elisabeth Borne, said, Tuesday, August 30, that any gas cuts, in the event of a shortage of this energy source, would not concern households. “The cuts, they do not concern households (…), we will not cut gas from French households, but it is [with] our companies, big consumers, that there could be cuts”, she said in the program “Daily” on the TMC channel.
Monday, in front of the bosses gathered by the Medef for its return, the head of the government had urged businesses to energy sobriety, asking them to “take their share” to reduce energy consumption this winter, but without announcing binding measures.
