Emmanuel Macron announced, Thursday, September 8, the launch of an “online consultation”, as part of the National Refoundation Council (CNR). The Head of State made this announcement just before opening the CNR to Marcoussis (Essonne), believing that this great consultation “will complement the meeting of today”.

“The objective is first to define consensus on the situation of France and its future,” said the head of state before the opening of the debates. In particular on the subject of the climate transition, which “creates a lot of tensions in society,” he said. The President of the Republic also explained that he did not exclude that the proposals from the CNR could “lead to referendums”.

“The absent are still wrong,” said the head of state. Before adding: “When you are not there, you cannot explain then that it is too vertical.”
