Peter Ecersley died, one of founders of Let’s Encrypt

In addition to Let’s Encrypt, Peter is known as the founder of many initiatives, network neutrality and ethical artificial artic intelligence, as well as a creator of projects such as Privacy Badger, Certbot, HTTPS EVERYWHERE, SSL Observator and Panopticlick.

Last week, Peter got to the hospital in which cancer was diagnosed. The tumor was removed, but Peter’s condition worsened sharply due to the complications that arose after the operation. On Friday night, despite resuscitation measures, Peter suddenly died at the age of 43.
