Among the winners, there is a diversity of kitchens ranging from contemporary Italian gastronomy by recognizing in particular Japanese cuisine, which has received the most stars, including the only two stars.

The Michelin guide, a gastronomic reference of international scope, published, Tuesday, September 13, its very first Canadian edition in which it highlights 74 restaurants in the largest city in the country, Toronto.
The inspectors have thus attributed a star to twelve restaurants for “quality cuisine, which is worth stopping there” and two stars to one happy elected official for an “excellent cuisine that is worth the detour”, writes the guide.
“Toronto shows that it deserves to be the very first selection of the Michelin guide in the Far North,” said Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of Michelin Guides, said in particular the “diversity of the selection” which reflects “the cosmopolitan soul” of the queen city.
Toronto the multicultural
Since May, inspectors anonymously travel the city’s culinary establishments, judging restaurants according to a methodology that the organization keeps secretly. Among the thirteen winners, if contemporary Italian gastronomy is represented, Japanese cuisine is a reference with the most harvested stars.
The Michelin guide also recognized the quality of gastronomy of 17 other restaurants offered at a reasonable price. Three other special prices for the quality of service, sommelier and cocktails have also been awarded.
