Video Faustine Vincent and Emmanuel Grynszpan are journalists at the “World”, specialists in post-Soviet Europe. Six months after the start of the war in Ukraine, they tell the experience they have lived alongside the population.
“Russian grip” on part of Ukrainian public opinion, sensitive to “old Stalinist propaganda”, notably in Sievierodonetsk, in the Oblast de Louhansk, “fascinated” Emmanuel Grynszpan, reporter to the world and Specialist in post-Soviet Europe.
During a report in this city “completely destroyed by the Russian army”, our journalist met a large number of civilians completely acquired by the cause of Moscow. Some were convinced to be the target of Ukrainian artillery, even though “the Russians did not hide that they were trying to take the city”.
Faustine Vincent, also a reporter of the world and a connoisseur of the ex-USSR, was marked by the period preceding the Russian invasion. So posted in Kharkiv, in eastern Ukraine, she remembers having been challenged by “the contrast” between “the apparent calm” of the premises and the international community which was preparing for a large -scale war.
