In 27 min 47 sec 13, the 26 -year -old French was preceded by the Italian Yemaneberhan Crippa (27 min 46 sec 13) and the Norwegian Zerei Kbrom Mezngi (27 min 46 sec 94). Long in the lead, the favorite, the French Jimmy Gressiern finally finished 4th.
