Turkey: a road accident left fifteen dead and twenty-two injured

Three firefighters, two rescuers and two journalists are among the dead, said Davut Gül, the governor of Gaziantp, in the south-east of the country.

In south-eastern Turkey, a road accident in which an ambulance was taken, made thirty-seven victims announced on Saturday August 20 the governor of the province of Gaziantep. “In total, fifteen of our citizens died and twenty-two were injured (…) in the accident between a coach, a rescue team and an ambulance (…) on the highway between Gaziantep and Nizip”, wrote On twitter the governor of the province, Davut Gül .

According to the Turkish news agency DHA, an ambulance, a fire truck and a vehicle from a team of journalists – who had visited the place of an accident – were hit hard by a passenger bus circulating on the same highway.

Three firefighters, two rescuers and two journalists are among the fifteen dead, said Gaziantep Governor. Images broadcast by the DHA agency showed the back of a partially ventilated ambulance and many vehicle debris.
