The fire baptized “Oak Fire” has ravaged, since Friday, July 22, the Yosemite National Park in California. More than 6,000 hectares of this famous park housing, in particular, giant redwoods, went up in smoke and more than 6,000 people had to be evacuated during the weekend while the fire was attacking the dwellings.
The departures of flames have been favored by the intense drought that rages in California, as well as strong winds which allowed the fire to extend. Monday, July 25, the Californian authorities said that Oak Fire was far from being mastered.
