An investigation was opened, Tuesday, July 12, for sexual assault and harassment to examine the complaint for sexual harassment filed by left activist Sophie Tissier against the deputy of Insoumise France (LFI) Eric Coquerel, President of the Commission Finance of the National Assembly, said the Paris prosecutor’s office on Wednesday, requested by the France-Presse agency.

The activist had made public her accusations against Mr. Coquerel just after the election of the latter, on June 30, at the strategic post of president of the finance committee of the National Assembly.
