Release of Distant Network Security Toolkit 36

After the year of development published release of live-disintections nst 36 (Network Security Toolkit), designed to analyze the network security and monitor its functioning. The size of the bootable applications related to network security (for example: Wireshark, NTOP, NESSUS, SNORT , Nmap, kismet, tcptrack, etherape, nsttracroute, ettercap, etc.). To manage the security and automation of calling various utilities, a special Web interface has been prepared, which also integrated the Web-Frontent for the WireShark network analyzer. The graphic environment of the distribution is based on FLUXBOX.

In the new issue:

  • The package base is synchronized with Fedora 36. The Linux 5.18 core is involved. Updated to fresh issues supplied as part of the application.
  • Received access to vulnerabilities scanners openvas (Open Vulnerability Assessment Scanner) and Greenbone GVM (Greenbone Vulnerabs Management), which are now being launched in a separate container based on Podman.


  • In the NST WUI Web-interface, an outdated side panel with a navigation menu was removed.
  • In the ARP scan, a column with Round Trip Time data was added to the ARP scan and the number of available operations has been expanded.
