Ubuntu Mate distribution has formed RASPBERRY PI board assemblies

The developers of the Ubuntu Mate distribution, built on the Ubuntu package base and offering the desktop combination based on the project Mate, announced on the formation of assemblies for Raspberry Pi. The assemblies are based on the release of Ubuntu Mate 22.04 and are prepared both for 32-bit , and for 64–bit Raspberry pi.

The features are highlighted:

  • inclusion by default ZSWAP and LZ4 algorithm to compress information in the swing section.
  • Supply of KMS drivers for GPU Videocore 4, as well as V3D drivers for the Videocore VI graphic accelerator.
  • Activation by default of a composite window manager.
