KDE project was presented by fourth generation of KDE Slimbook laptops

KDE project presented the fourth generation of ultrabooks supplied under the KDE SlimBook brand. The product was developed with the participation of the KDE community together with the Spanish supplier of SlimBook equipment. The software filling is based on the KDE Plasma desktop, the KDE Neon system surroundings based on Ubuntu and a selection of free applications, such as the Krita graphic editor, the 3D design of Blender, CAPR Freecad and the Kdenlive video editor. The default graphic environment uses the Wayland protocol. All applications and updates supplied to KDE Slimbook are thoroughly tested by KDE developers to ensure a high level of environment stability and equipment compatibility.

New series supplies with processors AMD Ryzen 5700u 4.3 GHZ with 8 cores of CPU (16 streams) and 8 GPU nuclei (in the last series Ryzen 7 4800h was used). The laptop is proposed in options with screens of 14 and 15.6 inches (1920×1080, IPS, 16: 9, SRGB 100%). The weight of the devices, respectively, is 1.05 and 1.55 kg, and the price is 1049 € and and and and and 999 € . The laptops are equipped with 250 GB M.2 SSD NVME (up to 2 TB), 8 GB of RAM (up to 64 GB), 2 USB 3.1 ports, one USB 2.0 port and one USB-C 3.1, HDMI 2.0, Ethernet (RJ45), Micro SD and wifi (Intel AX200).
