The complainant accuses the minister of having tried to rape her during a party organized in Paris in 2010, according to a source close to the file. In mid-June, Mediapart had published the testimony of “Laëtitia” (assumed first name), a “centrist elected representative”, which accused the minister of having tried to rape her at a party organized at his home in Paris, at the Paris, First half of 2010. “Today, I can no longer be silent,” said the investigation media.

His lawyer, M e Raphaële Bialkiewicz, had told Mediapart that she proceeded “to harvest and overlapping of elements, with a view to bringing all the useful consequences”.

Damien Abad disputes the facts

During the facts she reported, she was president, in her department, of the youth movement of the new center, of which Mr. Abad, European deputy, was the national president. On the evening of the facts, she says, Damien Abad “offered her a drink”, at the bottom of which she saw “something”: suspicious, she went to spit out her sip in the toilet.

Also according to his story, Mr. Abad was waiting for him behind the door and everything went “very quickly”: the MEP would have “pushed her in a room opposite” then tried to force her to fellatio. “I was afraid, I was amazed. I was debated, I hit him in my stomach,” she said.

Laëtitia said that she had finally been able to “get rid” of her alleged attacker and get out of the room thanks to the irruption of a guest. The facts reported by this woman are “supported by the testimonies of eight people, to whom she confided or who may have witnessed certain elements of her story”, and which Mediapart claims to have contacted. Brigitte Fouré, today mayor (UDI) of Amiens, and at the time departmental responsible for the new center, remembers the “indecent behavior” of Damien Abad towards the young woman.

Damien Abad had denounced the “carefully chosen calendar of these publications”, before the second round of the legislative elections, and the “bias” of the investigation of Mediapart, which, according to him, has a “political” motivation. “As for the reported allegations, they revolt me and I categorically refute them,” added the minister.
