Release of open engine Heroes of Might and Magic 2 – Fheroes2

Available The production of the Fheroes2 project 0.9.16, which recreates the Heroes of Might and Magic II game engine from zero . The project code is written on C ++ and is distributed under the license gplv2. To launch the game, files with game resources are required that can be obtained, for example, from the demo version of Heroes of Might and Magic II or from the original game.

  • AI optimization to accelerate calculations. AI now behaves more aggressively, given the terms of the script.
  • The absent elements of the “scarlet tower” in the city of sorceresses without a castle are generated.


  • The colors of the flags in the locks of knights and wizards change depending on the color of the player.


  • A new icon for the dwelling of the captain in the Castle of the Sorcerers is generated.

  • Fixed and supplemented translations into German, Romanian and Ukrainian. In addition, the basic translation into the Belarusian, Spanish and Swedish languages ​​was added.
  • Fixed in more than 40 errors.
