A person opened fire in the St. Francis Health System hospital this Wednesday, June 1. Several victims were affected by the shots and “some were unfortunately killed” according to Richard Meulenberg, police captain. A first assessment reports three dead. “The police continue to inspect each piece of the establishment in search of possible threats” said the authorities. Captain Meulenberg evokes a “catastrophic scene”.
The shooter committed suicide, said a elected representative of the city on a local television channel, Jayme Fowler. “Three innocent passers-by lost their lives,” he added.
The St. Francis Health System hospital was confined this Wednesday afternoon after the first shots in a surgery and breast medicine building. An important police device had been deployed on site.
