The program was developed in 1995 and the code was published as it is, without adaptation for assembly with relevant compilers (Visual C ++ 2.0 is required for the assembly) and work on modern equipment. The code is restored from the Microsoft archive. Microsoft also consent to the opening of the code used in the Brender 3D-engine program. Brender code in the 3D Movie Maker repository is published as of 1995, but newer versions are available for loading- brender-1997 and brander-v1.3.2 , open under the license MIT. At the same time, the composition does not include Softimage SDK, which must be obtained separately.
