Aged 69, the star of the 1980s is suspected of having sexually assaulted two teenage girls when they were aged 16 and 17, from 2013. He was indicted on November 5, 2021 by a Paris investigating judge for “rape, rape and sexual assault of minors over the age of 15, corruption of minor” and abuse of weakness. Placed in pre -trial detention, he had immediately made a release request which had been rejected at the end of November by the Court of Appeal.
The two young girls had filed a complaint against the interpreter of Papa singer, then retracted before filing a new complaint in early 2021, leading to the opening of an investigation by the prosecution.
Several convictions
In this case, the singer’s eldest daughter was indicted for “subore of witnesses”, suspected of having put pressure on the complainants so that they are silent. He had been sentenced for these facts to a year of suspended imprisonment on May 18, 2015 for corruption of minor. Jean-Luc Lahaye had also been sentenced in 2007 to 10,000 euros fine for sex with a minor of 15 years.
