Apache Software Foundation presented The release of the Web conferences server apache OpenMeetings 6.3 , which allows organizing audio and video conferences via Web, as well as joint work and messaging between participants. Supported both webinars with one protruding speaker and conferences with an arbitrary number of participants, at the same time interacting with each other. The project code is written on Java and spreads under the license Apache 2.0.
Among the additional capabilities: funds for integration with a planning calendar, sending individual or broadcasting notifications and invitations, joint access to files and documents, maintaining the targeted book of participants, maintaining a protocol of the event, joint planning of the tasks, broadcasting the output of applications (demonstration screoners), voting and polls.
One server can serve an arbitrary number of conferences held in individual virtual conference rooms and include their set of participants. The server supports flexible authority management tools and a powerful conferences moderation system. Management and interaction of participants is carried out through the Web interface. MySQL and postgreSQL can be used as a DBMS.
