George Perez, iconic designer having printed his style to many superheroes, both at Marvel and DC, died on Friday May 6 of pancreatic cancer, at 67, announced his entourage on Saturday. “George left peacefully yesterday, with his house with his side the one who had been his wife for 490 months and his family,” one of his nearby friends, Constance Eza.

George Perez had started at Marvel in the 1970s, working in particular on the Avengers and the Fantastic Four. Then the designer had gradually approached DC editions, a great competitor of Marvel, for whom he notably collaborated on young Titans and helped relaunch Wonder Woman in the late 1980s.
